Fine, Signed Persian Tabriz Rug Pictorial Fine Kork Wool (Cashmere)

Tabriz is particularly well known for the weaving of ‘Beauties’. This fascinating, extremely finely woven pictorial rug is a great example from this genre of woven art. Unsurprisingly, this fine work is signed by the Master weaver.
The main scene depicts a seated maiden in lament, and is taken from a famous painting by V. Vastnetsov, (1848-1926), a Russian artist, this painting entitled ‘Alenushka’, housed in the Moscow State Tretyakov Gallery.

Fine, Signed Persian Tabriz Rug. This piece was handwoven in Tabriz , Iran. For further information please contact us and our team will be pleased to assist you.
