Fine Persian Tabriz Silk and Wool Carpet – Birds of Paradise – Approx 3x2m (10x7ft)

This Persian Tabriz rug is published in;

This rug was woven within the
last 60 years and is an excellent example
of the contemporary Tabriz style. It has
inscription cartouches at top and bottom,
one of which translates ‘Iran Tabriz’ and the
other ‘Azim Zadeh and Taghi Zadeh’, the
names of the joint owners (unrelated) of a
well-known workshop.

 

Fine Persian Tabriz silk and wool carpet handwoven in Iran. Birds of Paradise design and signed by the weaving establishment. Delightful colour complexion with masses of exotic birds set amongst an array of foliage teeming with bright colourful blooms, set on an ivory base and complemented by a caramel border.
