Fine Persian Kashan wool carpet handwoven in Iran. Items of this size are also known as oversize with respect to a typical room. The design features ornate multiple medallion on a highly decorated floral field in red accent colours set on a navy base, resulting in a dark complexion.
| An extremely elegant Kashan carpet, being the work of the master weaver ‘Dabir Sanaye, early 20th century. The pattern of this carpet is entirely inspired by the Court carpets of Safavid Persia woven in the 16th and 17th century. Two styles of medallion arranged in rows flanked on either side by half medallions. Apart from the fact that this highly detailed pattern is repeated in both the horizontal and vertical axis, a remarkable achievement by any stretch of the imagination, the half medallions disappear behind the borders which infers an infinite repeat, as if the field pattern extends for eternity. The field is multi layered with spiralling arabesques and flowering vines arranged to give real depth and movement to the composition. All is brought to life with amazing, saturated jewel like colours, beautifully juxtaposed to maximum artistic effect. Such vision is consistent with the finest Kashan workmanship associated with the master weaver, Dabir Sanaye. Fine kork wool on cotton foundation.

In-store collection will be ready within 1 business day. To collect in-store you will be required to show confirmation e-mail, official photo ID (passport or driving license) and the payment card used for the order. If someone else is collecting on your behalf, please make sure they bring a letter of authorisation that permits this person to collect on your behalf, official photo ID of the purchaser and of the person collecting and confirmation e-mail.
