This is an exceptional work of Kashan weaving. Technically it is extremely finely woven with kork wool (Cashmere) on cotton foundation.
The drawing of the pattern elements is remarkably intricate and defines each pattern with exceptional detail. the presentation of such detail is made possible by the exceptional quality of the wool combined with the exemplary skill of the weaver. The ascending meandering trees present a great sense of movement and fluidity to the field design, and supports the intricately drawn vases which in turn issues blossom which are drawn and coloured in such away as to give depth to the pattern elements, The colours used ensure that the composition is presented to maximum visual appearance. The colours include varying subtle tones of red, pale plum, pale blue, saffron and beige and in the main field area are presented on a magnificent cream ground. The contrasting border colour remains subtle, yet complementing and enhancing the overall appearance of the carpet. The border details of floral elements, animals and birds are drawn in the same exceptional detail presented in such a way as to enhance the sense of movement supporting the overall composition.
This is an exceptional example of Fine Kashan weaving, made by a highly skilled weaver and represents a superb example of woven Persian art.

In-store collection will be ready within 1 business day.
